Stampede Breakfast 2016

July 9th is the big day for this year's Stampede Breakfast. Food service will begin at 9:00 am until 11:00 am. We have HAY RIDES this year, as well as Amos The Rope maker and a live band "Walk The Dog". There will be face painting Bouncy Castles, Henna and lots of family fun. And FREE FOOD. A great time for the whole family- come and meet your neighbours and celebrate the Calgary Stampede.

FCCA Becomes Flood Donation Centre

Due to the recent flooding disasters in Southern Alberta, Falconridge/Castleridge Community Association has stepped up and become a donation centre for household products needed for victims of the flood. We are accepting all household products and cleaning supplies from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Computers donated for Children's programs

FCCA wishes to acknowledge and thank ELECTRONIC RECYCLING ASSOCIATION (era.ca) for their donation of 8 refurbished computers, monitors and keyboards for our children's programs. Four have been designated for before and after school (Buzz Club) and 2 each to our two playschools. These units will be used to educate as well as entertain our children and better prepare them for their future endeavors. Once again- Thank You to era.ca.

 

Furniture Donation

FCCA wants to acknowledge the donation of office furniture from Green Standards Ltd., a company that compiles and redistributes used office furniture to Non-Profit Organizations. The donation included a large desk and credenza for our General Manager which is a tremendous upgrade from the old desk, as well as typing tables and shelving.

Welcome New Board Members

On October 23rd, 2012 at our Annual General Meeting we were pleased to welcome two new interested parties to our Board Of Directors. Accepted as Directors were Sharon DeSouza and Brendan Hood. We look forward to their involvement in FCCA and the neighbourhoods of Falconridge and Castleridge.

Buzz Club Receives Accreditation

On July 11, 2012 our Buzz Club received accreditation from the Govt of Alberta BAS Accreditation Dept. This identifies our Buzz Club as "above standard" and recognizes it as a superior before and after school program. This accreditation process examines all current levels of standards and programs within the facility and includes inspection and observation prior to receiving accreditation.
